EDIT, 03/18/18: Many thanks to Mary Holderby, Class of 1968, for the audio tracks I was unable to recover from Dad’s unplayable LP #1. Her copy was skip-free and she generously gave of her time digitizing selections, as well as the others from 1967 and from 1968. I’ll incorporate Mary’s efforts into the Opus 1967 and 1968 pages over the next couple of weeks. It’s nice to hear these songs again. Thanks again, Mary!

1 Some post-processing may have been applied by the recording engineers before the discs were manufactured. In particular, there is quite a lot of extra reverb evident on many selections. I don’t recall the acoustics in the SAHS gym being that “live.” In any event, apart from some adjustments to fix excessive brightness, I didn’t add any additional sweetening.
2 Old Creole Days was “interrupted” by senior Bert Bostic, portraying an irascible piano tuner. After some back-and-forth between him and band director James Keadle, the band accompanied him in a novelty tune (The Piano Tuner, I think). Unfortunately, the recording technicians may not have understood that this was an intentional “goof”. In any case, it didn’t make it onto the audio tape.
