Happy Little Sixteenth Notes

Anybody remember the late Bob Ross, whose painting show, The Joy of  Painting, was a fixture on public television for years? It still shows up from time to time, nearly 25 years after his passing.

Anyhoo, his on-camera persona was about as relaxed and low-key as one can imagine. Such a contrast from the malignant din of cable TV today. He delighted in landscapes populated with “happy trees,” “happy clouds,” and so on. He was fun to watch, even if you couldn’t paint a lick.

So, here’s a brief modal number with lots and lots of happy little sixteenth notes in a modified Lydian scale (the seventh degree dropped half a tone). I do love me some augmented fourths.
