This is built on a twelve-tone row, plus its retrograde, inverse, and retrograde inverse variants. No attempt is made here to conform to twelve-tone “rules according to Hoyle”—or Schoenberg or Webern or … . For example, I like to double or even triple series in a single voice in parallel and just let the occasional consonances emerge where they will.
